Ettore Stramignoni

HI! My name is Ettore Stramignoni, I was born in Torino (Italy) on January 21st, 1988.

As Torino is just 1 hour away from the mountains, I could start skiing super young at about 3 yo. When I was 12 I approached the board-sports for the first time – starting with windsurfing and skateboarding. It was just a matter of a few months before snowboarding started to be my winter addition, making it clear that it was going to be part of my life for the time being.

At 25 I got my master degree in physics and right after it I could pass the snowboard instructors certification to become “snowboard maestro”. In this same period I started wakeboarding at the Turin Wake Park and a few years later I got my wakeboard instructor certification too.

My working career was then set: snowboard instructor during the winter, including seasons in Italy (Sestriere and Sauze d’Oulx), France (Val Thorens, Montgenevre, Morzine and Avoriaz) and Australia (Perisher) – and wakeboard instructor during the summer, working in Italy (Turin Wake Park) and France (Exo 33 wakepark Baurech).

During the years I also had a “normal” work experience as Project & Product manager at Nikon Italy (Nital SPA), that helped me improve my management skills and got me into the marketing world. This helped me to develop my skills in social media management, video editing and websites development.

In 2022 I started kitesurfing and immediately fell in love with it. I got my IKO kitesurf instructor as soon as possible and started working at Dakhla Evasion in Morocco, where I could progress to IKO level 2 instructor following loads of teaching hours.

Thanks to the mix of my scientific background, my management experience and more than 10 years of sports teaching experience, I developed my own pedagogical method.

My method, strengthened by my interest in psychology, is based on the idea that there is not a bad student, there is only a different approach for each person. My goal is to let everyone learn in a safe environment, getting the skills to feel in control as soon as possible. I think that the processes of teaching and learning are never ending, so my focus is to put the right amount of empathy into my lessons, in order to achieve the biggest possible exchange with my students.

I will give you all the technical skills, mixed with the best safety advises, in the most clear and reliable way possible. I don’t want you to simply learn a new sport, I want you to get so passionate about it that you will want to change your entire life in order to practice it 😏
